I'm sure by now you have noticed the big changes taking place with my blog! I am so excited to finally be switched over to WordPress and have been working on getting use to all the changes. A Few Days Away
I will be away from my blog for a couple of days, we had a death in the family and I am spending time with family. Our Disney On Ice – Dare To Dream Experience!
We took Abby to see Disney On Ice - Dare to Dream the other night and I can honestly say our experience was truly magical. Abby was so excited when I told her we were going to see all her favorite princesses; she talked all day about going and even called her daddy three times to remind him. Abby's Mimi joined us for the show and even found Abby a Rapunzel shirt to wear for our special night out. We saw several little girls all decked out in their princess dresses, crowns, and princess shoes and oh my goodness they were adorable! I had thought about dressing Abby up but she's really not that big into major frills. Her princess shirt was perfect paired with a cute skirt and her cowboy boots... yes, her boots! I remember my mom commenting that she wasn't really dressed like a princess but you know what, she was. She was dressed in her version of princess attire and she was absolutely adorable! Chatting with Flynn Rider!
Okay so not the actual Flynn Rider but the amazing skater that portrays him in Disney On Ice - Dare to Dream! Between listening to Abby talk nonstop about going to see the princesses, rushing around making sure she has everything she need (Rapunzel outfit, Rapunzel doll, etc) and double checking my camera, I actually had some spare time to chat with one of the cast members from Disney On Ice: Dare To Dream! Joe, the skater who portrays the role of Flynn Rider, took some time on opening night to chat a little with me about this amazing show. Doll Hair Emergency! How To Get Rid of Tangles!
Around here, everything is last minute... total spur of the moment. As Abby's excitement about attending Disney On Ice tomorrow night grows, I realized there were several things I had overlooked taking care of. Number one thing was something for Abby to wear. Wait... let's try that again. I totally had a couple of dresses on hand for her to wear. I pulled them out today to show her and let her pick because she's suddenly quite opinionated about what she wears. Just my luck, none of the dresses met her approval. Oh no, these simply would not do. She wanted Rapunzel! Of course, we have absolutely nothing Rapunzel in her closet and, just my luck, none of the stores around here carried anything. A Weekend Break to Think
I took this past weekend off so I could have time to think and consider things. I have felt so overwhelmed lately, torn between everything I need/have to get done and spending time with Abby. I sometimes feel like I take on took much sometimes, with the cooking and cleaning and laundry and craft projects and photography and blog posts... I rarely have time to breath sometimes and often I don't get everything accomplished. Plus I feel like I don't have enough time for my family.I haven't always felt this way, mainly just here lately as I've tried to catch up from all my down time from surgery. The problem is, I don't feel like I will ever catch up. I have so much I want to get done yet I never have enough energy or enough hours in the day to do everything.
